I finally discovered the identity of the girl in this photo. It was a photo that had been in the possession of my great grandmother, Penelope Stockton. On the back was "Burt Taylor". No other information. Now here's the connection. I found the Joseph Taylor family in the 1910 census of Hardin county, TN. The family was Joseph A. Taylor, his wife Mary J. (Worley). They had a seven year old daughter, Birt. Now I know. Mary Jane Worley was the daughter of Daniel Worley and his wife, Hannah Pickens. They were related to the Shipmans in several ways. My great grandfather, Walter Shipman's grandmother was Mary Jane Pickens, the sister of Hannah Pickens. Also, Penelope's sister, Almeda Stockton married John Stockton, who was also the son of Daniel Worley and Hannah Pickens. So now, the girl below belongs to the family.
