Leona Bazzell was the half sister of Harris Bazzell, the daughter of Calvin T. Bazzell and his second wife, Roseline (Ashby) Welch. She lived with her sister, Nellie (Bazzell) Blakeny in her adult life. She is buried in Shanghai Cemetery in Hardin County, Tennessee.
